Hello interested readers, my name is Henry and welcome to my Motorsport Forever. I had the concept of creating Motorsport Forever in the summer of 2023. I had grown up watching the occasional IndyCar or NASCAR race with my dad, played different racing games as a kid, and then in 2019 was enthralled by Formula 1 thanks to Netflix’s Drive to Survive. Around that very same time, I stumbled upon the world of sim racing on YouTube. Jimmy Broadbent and Dave Cam introduced to me to iRacing and the combination of that and Formula 1 sent me head first into the wide world of motorsports. A majority of my friends that were bitten by the Drive to Survive bug have been big fans of F1 since, but haven’t braved into the many different sorts of motor sport the world has to offer. Now, there is nothing wrong with only watching one series of racing, but I fear they are missing out on amazing action that is both similar and different compared to F1. Many of them cite lack of knowledge of the different series, cars, teams, and drivers as reasons for their hesitancy into viewing something like IMSA or WEC. My aim with motorsport forever is to create a place for people of all ranges of motorsport knowledge to come and learn about the many drivers, teams, and series that are out there.
